Occupational Therapist

About the Role:
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. We are open to a subcontractor arrangement, full time employment or part time employment. We are happy to negotiate rates and salaries to suit you. We can also offer flexible hybrid arrangements to suit your lifestyle! 
 
Responsibilities:

We deliver a range of Allied Health services to our NDIS participants (Adults and children) by implementing a family centred and NDIS plan focused therapeutic and behaviour management programs. 

In this role, you will be working within a transdisciplinary team and will be responsible for ensuring the provision of Occupational Therapy services to the NDIS participants (Adults and children) enrolled in our services. Some of the key responsibilities of this role are: 

  • Providing occupational therapy services to address specific needs of our clients
  • Collaborative planning, implementation, and evaluation of the allied health program
  • Participating in trans-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary practice within the team and consultation with other relevant agencies
  • Referring to other professionals or agencies as appropriate
  • Maintaining a high degree of professional awareness regarding current best practice and research in the field, and ensuring the application of these principles at all times
  • Maintaining a clinical caseload.

Skills & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

  • A recognised degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Current AHPRA Registration (full practicing registration)
  • A sound knowledge of Occupational Therapy practices according to Australian standards
  • Practical experience in delivering therapy within natural environments e.g. Home and community-based settings
  • Experience   in   conducting   a   range   of   formal   assessments   and   effective   communication   of assessment outcomes
  • Experience working within a team environment implementing transdisciplinary practice
  • Ability to interpret professional reports
